Movin' along...

As I am writing and setting up this website I have received five phone calls, all of them unanswered, all of them with the same thing in common: they want money I owe them, and as far as I know, trees are still not bearing cash. So, the calls remain ignored, I am still unemployed, and I've decided to start a(nother) blog if for nothing more than an outlet for me to vent about my frustrations with being job-less, income-less (no unemployment here, folks!), finally receiving my undergraduate degree after nine long years (but not nine consistent years, may I add), and generally being a 27 year old female who had to move back home with her folks, leaving her boyfriend and pet turtle behind in another state, facing this unexpected bend in the road with as much of a sense of humor as possible.

It's often said that the college years are the "best years" of our lives. I can't disagree with that but I also can't entirely support it either, due to my non-traditional college career. One of the things I hope to do with this site is reflect on quirky stores from my drawn out past as an undergrad; offering advice that I wish I had received back then, tips that got me through that first hazy semester and general experiences that maybe you thought noone else ever went through.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this new venture. I have to be, because the only other bright spot in my week so far is that I just received a phone call from a woman with a thick southern accent letting me know I was "chosen" to win one of three prizes - a fancy car, 25k and/or a trip, BUT all I have to do is call back RIGHT NOW. I have a feeling credit card companies are being creative in their debt collection pursuits...
